IXUP commencement of new CEO
Secure data and trusted collaboration company IXUP Limited (ASX: IXU) is pleased to advise the commencement of Mr Peter Leihn as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the company, effective today.
Mr Leihn will be responsible for implementing IXUP’s short and long-term strategy as the company gears up for growth.
With more than 25 years’ experience in senior technology roles, he is an expert in the latest data collaboration and technology solutions. He also has an extensive history in developing markets for new technologies.
He joins IXUP from Data61, the Australian Government CSIRO specialist data and technology innovator. Most recently based in San Francisco, he was responsible for global business development and commercialisation of Data61’s world-leading capabilities in digital and data research, engineering and product development.
Prior to joining Data61, Peter held senior leadership positions in the NSW government including Director of the Office of Chief Scientist where he led science policy development and had oversight for strategic investment in the innovation ecosystem. This followed a long career developing markets for global ICT companies Hewlett-Packard and Autodesk.
Peter’s acknowledged expertise in the areas of data availability, privacy, data innovation models and the commercialisation of technology has made him a sought after speaker at government innovation and technology events around the world.
A graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD), Peter holds a Bachelor’s in Applied Science from the Southern Cross University; Graduate Diploma in Marketing from Monash University; Master’s in Environmental Science and Law from University of Sydney and he is currently completing his PhD in Innovation Economics, with a focus on commercialisation strategies, at Swinburne University of Technology.
